Music (MMus)
The Master of Music is awarded in recognition of musical accomplishment with special emphasis in performance or conducting. The program requires 30 credits of course work.

M.Mus. Requirements
Satisfactory completion of at least 30 credits is required for the M.Mus. degree. Students in the M.Mus. program are required to take MUSI 5302 Analytic Techniques and MUSI 5391 Procedures in Historical Research. Students in the M.Mus. program are required to present one recital, MUSI 5397 Recital. All Master’s degree students must also pass a comprehensive oral Master’s Degree Final Examination. M.Mus. in Performance Requirements
MUSI 5323 Applied Music for 14 credits, non-performance-oriented music courses (Music History, Theory, Literature or Pedagogy) for four credits, and five credits of electives which may include performance-oriented coursework. Students with an emphasis in voice must demonstrate proficiency in foreign language diction.
