This program is designed to meet all State of Connecticut requirements for long-term healthcare administration licensure. The primary objective of the program is to prepare students for careers in long-term health care management. Students must complete 12 credits. The program is offered in hybrid format. HCMI 5549 Management of Long-Term Health Care Organizations is held online in synchronous format on Tuesdays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. HCMI 5632 Internship in Health Care Management is a 900 hour (9 credit) internship experience conducted by each student to meet State of Connecticut licensure eligibility requirements. Each student participates in this learning experience within one or more skilled nursing facilities under the guidance of a licensed nursing home administrator. Students may conduct the internship on either a full-time or part-time basis.
