Computer Science Minor

The minor program in Computer Science addresses a growing demand for professionals who have both strong discipline-specific knowledge and substantial competency in computer science. The minor program in Computer Science is intended to educate non-computing majors in the core computer science topics of programming and data structures, plus other advanced computer science coursework that fits the student’s interests.

The minor is not open to students in one of the majors in the School of Computing. Students can only declare one of the minors offered by the School of Computing.

Additional Details

Access to courses for this minor is on a space available basis, and the School of Computing cannot guarantee completion of this minor. Students may require departmental permission to register for courses in the minor.  Students may not take CSE courses once they complete the requirements for the CS minor.
