Power Engineering (Graduate Certificate)
The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department offers a 12-credit certificate program in Power Engineering. The courses provide the necessary knowledge at an advanced level to engage in the analysis and design of electrical power and energy systems. Students will learn how to model major components used in the generation and distribution of power including power electronics, electric machines, electric drives, transmission line, and protection devices. They will also learn how to analyze such components, systems, and methods for grid, microgrid, electrified transportation, and other applications.
