This minor allows students to develop knowledge and skills in the areas of German language, literature, and culture through a coherent course of study. Students electing this minor must complete a minimum of 15 credits at the 2000-level and above distributed across the following categories:
- Language skill courses. Students must choose two of the following courses: GERM 3231, 3233, 3234, 3245, 4246.
- Content Courses (in literature, film, culture, etc.): Students must choose two of the following, or they may substitute the combination of all three one-credit courses GERM 3220, 3221, and 3222 for one of the following 3-credit courses: GERM 3254W, 3255W, 3261W, 3265, 3293, 3294, 3295 (if taught in German).
- Courses in English. Students must choose one of the following: GERM 3251, 3258, 3264W.
