Computational biology approaches including genome assembly, phylogenetic analysis and database searching to characterize gene content and evolutionary relationships. Focus on research methods and approaches, data interpretation, written and oral communication of scientific findings. Part of a two-semester series with MCB 1200, which can be taken in either order. CA 3-LAB.
